(FIlm review) The Dark Night Rises

Image
Like many people, i was thinking, how can you top the joker in the Dark Night, thats going to grow into icon status in years to come.  To be fair, i give huge credit for Chistopher Noel for releasing some fine batman films that was very much needed and just amazing to watch.  I have not seen many new films recently and the so called trilogy, which is a load of rubbish, unless its going to be called the Noelan Trilogy as aparantly he hs stepping down.  There are going to be more Batmans. The Dark Night Rises, completes a story cycle, with some great twists, awsome weaponry, which has never been shown and again a great cast.  I like the way Noelen used many of the cast from Inception, mixed with the basic cast of batman and new cast members.  He reminds me of Quentin Taratino here, he has a touch that no one else has Bane is in this one and i thought, what are they going to do.  On the surface its a mixture of The Dark night and Batman begins in regards to storyline and locations a

Independent Special. Musicians that have left an impression

Image
I know it is the time of year for top 10s and things, but i am always looking for something different in a show...so this is it Tonight( Thursday 27th December) I am live on Music World Radio and joined by, Raymond Rowe, once more, from New Usb on Skype, to talk about and play the bands, solo artists, all Independents that have left an impression on us in 2012. There are many and some will be played that we have known for long. But the theme is, Left an impression. We have, Jet Noir, Naked Lunch, Glowpeople, Vinnie Zummo, Silverspark, The Strummer Room Poject and many other artists who have kind of made the grade. This is not a competition, but talking to fans and releasing fine music are two of the qualities and reason for the musicians on the list This is the list i have compiled for your to view here Not all bands have this ability, but many have and impresses many people and we have seen fan comment direct Streaming on   Music World Radio     also on New Usb     T

Music in 2012

Many people write the top 10s and things down. This is slightly different, this is the music that has impressed me the most Against All Will One the area i like about this Rock band from America is that they listen to their fans and so does their publicist, Yvonne Laughin, who does a great job in social media. who i get the songs from.  All the members are from former well known rock bands themselves, but they knows the fans are their bread and butter. Their music is pretty dam good. At the start, i did not know what to expect, very commerical, leaning to darker rock Jet Noir This may seen an obvious choice, but her new album really impressed me as she has done something different and broadened her appear, which for the most part did not happened upto this point.  As well as working hard as hell and mainly works on her own, shes a real trooper. Yes, she looks dam fine, but looks is only the outside, its the inside what creates the beats Besides that, finally interviewed her t

I can and have had live performers here. The band, Dog Food performed live in September nd LIVE 'In House interview with Jet Noir, accompanied by Tony Mayo in October. The room i have ain't that big and I know from watching the New Usb live channels, Raymond Rowe has musican performing live in Manchester on a regular basis.  He asked me this year about interviewing a band there and me interviewing them Skype, but at the time i did not have the dualcast in mind and i could not broadcast on two stations on seperate days Now, since i have been doing the dualcast,, i bought today ( 12th December) and talking to Ray about it The Plan A band will perform in Manchester, England and i will interview and channel the audio through Skype, here in Banbury, England.  It may seem a long way round a radio event, but gett

( Album review) Blackdoghat - Planetarium

To the Northen Sea,  2. Drown in Me,  3. Before my Eyes,  4. Angels of Us  5. Electric,  6. Sunday Papers,  7. Some Things are Worth Living 4,  8. One Last Question  9. Dreams Acoustic duo and some of the catchiest song i have ever heard.  There are many acoustic artists out there, some more unique with their voice or the way they play their guitar. The catchy riff on this album reminds of how Paul McCartney writes as he well know for his catch riff and melodys Many people love Electric, which is my favourite, with a great opening. The great bassline ges to the song, To The Northern Sea.  Another fan favourite is Sunday Papers, which is nice mellow affair.  You can imaging John lounging in a chair, plugging his guitar on a sofa. Every song, many acoustic, but all diferent and different moods. This all comes down to great writing from John Sage from London and Matt Gkikas from Greece.  This was released in 2011, all potential singles in old fashion terms. This is all prof

( Music Revew) Sliverspark - Life the Fuse

Image
The Ep Light the Fuse, Something about You, Don't Bring Me Down and The Theif This suprised me a little. Power Pop/ Rock duo from Daventry, England. I have very chosey with music, even with songs i radioplay, but when it comes to catchy songs, you can't go not wrong with Silverspark and it a a fine ep, which is very commercial sounding and what Pop rock should be in the general chart Some great song writing here and Careys vocals are being compared to Sharleen from, Texas, for some stunning singing and goes very nicely with Matts guitar playing Light the Fuse, is my favourite for being he most powerful of the ep and aparantly many people are picking up on this. Every song could be a single, and very professional recording, sound great and you can hear the lyrics On very few occasions i say buy it, on this occasion, buy it.   Matt and Carey are making a great effort to get known and their music speaks volumes You can go to their website and listen before buying or you

My Recordings (Update)

Image
I have not recorded much recently as i didn't want to do too much in one go.   As i have said on previous blogs, this started out as a radio show segment, reading out poetry. As it turns out i put guitar to the lyrics and thats how Pirates in My Sink come about There is kind of a sequal, Pirate Dance, which i have got the lyrics for, just got to arrange it I have recorded so far, Pirates its my sink, which was voted for on Music World Radio top 20 chart and stayed there for 3 months.  I have not had any sales for the song, although it is for sale.  I have not promoted it much as my energies have been on other things recently and you can't do everything Motorcycle Man was the next poem i put some time into.  This is the next song i began to make a video for as it kind of made sense.  This is the also the first time i collected footage from non copyrighted sources and got permission for other footage This also got remixed by local musician SRP and the video is in

( Album Review) The Vinyls - Catch ( 2012)

Image
Artist:The Vinyls Brighton, England Sound: Vintage Pop I love original or creative opening to albums. This made me smile as its made to sound like a radio jingle.. The end of the album, you hear the sound of stylus slipping of a record, marking  the end of an album, superb. I was not expecting the recording quality i heard and how the band managed to capture the energy and a spark they found throughout the whole album The Mocking song, is a perfect example of the the Jam sound.  The open reminded me straight away of, Eton Rifles. Another opening i like is Whos in Albert Square, with the cowbell and the bass guitar. Fixed to the floor is very 80s reminiscent with the bass guitar over someone clicking their fingers. There are a couple of lounger songs, which are near the end of the album, Ill be there Instead  and Please Just Be Yourself also has a blur feel to  it..well captured Just three words.. .buy the album DJ Readman - Music Revolution Promotion

This does not have to be the exact song that i have played( Although it would help), as maybe

MC, Rapper, Hiphop

I have had a few submissions from rappers over the last two week and i guessing via seeing me on Twitter. I just can't understand why a great scene, which some great legends has gotten so bad. Going back 20 or so years or more infact, you have, Run DMC, Grandmaster flash, later on you have. The Beastie Boys and Busta Rhymes, two of my favourtes in fact. These guys are orginal. I got hocked on Busta for his speed, his videos, lyrics, he just puts some imagination into it. The most recent Mc i have come across and we are going back two years now, Mc Comchemzi, kind of comic rap, some imagination and oustanding lyric flow..reminds me of how Beck works with like a play on words Video of his I have got this from listeners to some agree with me on this as well, if you an artists, go for something original, you own, not something that has been copied a thousand times....that what the scene has become.... a copy on top of a copy I have had Youtube links and watched video. 95% of
